Zerrin is a bold, geometric Anatolian Hakkari kilim. Hand-woven on village and nomadic looms in vivid, naturally dyed colours, Turkish kilim weaving is a tradition stretching back thousands of years. Kilims were woven for the practicalities of daily life and used as floor and wall coverings, storage bags, and prayer mats. Zerrin features a taupe and grey striped field scattered with the classic bird motif, the symbol of happiness, joy and love. The rug is bordered by the comb motif traditionally associated with marriage and fertility.
Although we ensure that all rugs arrive professionally cleaned and in their best condition, due to the nature of antique and handmade rugs, some irregularities and signs of wear are to be expected.
