Introducing our new vintage kilim collection

Introducing our new vintage kilim collection

We’ve always admired vintage and Anatolian kilims, but finding the truly special ones can be tricky. Our newest collection of vintage kilims brings together a selection of pieces we've long been searching for, fifteen rare and beautiful pieces woven between 40 and 80 years ago and all chosen for their unique designs and versatility.

Hand-woven on village and nomadic looms, vintage kilims were always designed to be lived with, generally woven by women for daily life. Originating in Anatolia, the ancient land bridge between East and West, these pieces were usually made not for export or collectors, but served as ground coverings, saddlebags, dowry gifts and prayer mats. The bold geometric motifs are a visual language, passed down through generations of weavers and their intricate patterns carry personal symbols of protection, identity and belonging.
